Thrift Haul: Ask and You Shall Receive!

Not to toot my own horn but I have always been very good at “finding” things while thrifting. I only recently got back into cycling as an adult (September 24′) so I haven’t truly had a need for cycling specific active wear yet. With Spring around the corner I have actually been starting to build up a sweat when I go on longer bike rides. This meant for my most recent outing I was on the hunt for some compression pants.

At least currently (and I may eat my words) I can’t get behind having full blown bib with chamois. I haven’t ridden more than 15 or so miles in one go so I suspect that is the reason I can say that but it seems like overkill.

Regardless of my personal dilemma I am happy to say I found not one but two pairs of Nike Pro Combat Compression pants, AND a pair of Columbia Omni-Heat Compression pants! So three pairs in total practically brand new for $7.99 each or less than the price of one new.

For tops I couldn’t pass up a clean basic Nike tee with embroidered logo on the chest and sun shirt / vented shirt for some event that has all of the Portland bridges on it which I think is really cool, both $7.99. Last but not least was the unexpected grail of the thrift haul. This is a custom printed Nike sweatshirt with the tags still on it! This sweatshirt is incredibly nice (thin but the material is very cozy) but the slogan on the back is why I got it. Sales bros for life!!! /s
